Binaural Beats Healing Music
Binaural beats are becoming more and more popular and thus easier and easier to find and use. These special tones are simply sounds that naturally alter your brainwaves. This is so you can choose a state of mind that you want with a certain amount of exposure and practice. They are best utilized as an enhancement for a previously established relaxation.
Binaural beats are musical tones held at specific frequencies that have been found to have certain effects on the human mind. Hertz is the unit of measurement for the beats of tone that represent the binaural waves. Frequency of sound is measured in Hertz.
Binaural beats themselves have been found to induce particular states of consciousness. The basic idea is that if you set up the binaural beats properly, the brain will try to adjust it's brainwaves to match the pulsating tone it hears. For example, if you are listening to beats set at nine hertz your brain would try to adjust its brain waves to be nine hertz.
Binaural beats are categorized by the number of hertz they sit at. Even though the number of hertz within the categorizations varies (there is no universal standard for measurement for the beats themselves) the commercial labeling tends to be more steady so you’re better likely to get the kind that you are actually looking for.
Beta waves (14-30 Hz) are waves that denote a waking state, with alertness, cognition and concentration. Alpha waves (8-14 Hz) are known to ensure a light trance or meditative state. It is thought that with these waves with the opportunity for super-learning. Theta waves (4-8 Hz) are waves that effect the mostly unconscious state present during the rapid eye movement stages of sleep. This is where dreams occur and waves that manipulate these waves are thought to build lucid dreams. Delta waves (0-4 Hz) are the waves that affect an unconscious state. This is the deepest form of sleep defined as dreamless. In addition this is the wave where bodiless thought is assumed to happen.
There is often “noise” in the background of a binaural beat set up. This noise may take the form of random static, nature sounds, or something in between. Some people find themselves annoyed by the sound of the beats alone. They can have intense reactions which can negate any positive they would get from implementing beats into the meditation or sleeping cycles. This is typically why a great many people rather listen to binaural beats under low music. The beats may also lessen the intensity of anxiety and stress.
With the use of binaural beats one may find that they are better relaxed while they attempt meditation. They may find that they are less stressed throughout the day and that they feel more relaxation. There is only one way to know if these musical chords will have a positive effect on you and that is to try to them. Remember to try many different chords.
